Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American writer and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her works. She is a proponent of human rights for animals. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 1972 are among her most acclaimed films. Growing up in an artistic family in New York she wished to be a part of the art. She started as a photographic assistant and then moved on to acting and modeling. The award she received was her Golden Globe Award, for the most promising young talent. MacGraw became an international star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. MacGraw was deemed the top female box-office star of the world after only three movies. Handprints, signatures and footprints were made in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw was married three occasions.
